How to use - Thermometer and monitoring board

  • In order to judge how your central heating is working and improve its settings, it is important to follow the evolution of room temperatures during several days.

First, fill the information at the top of the monitoring panel using the whiteboard pen (room, date, time, name).

Every day, report the room temperature on the panel with a pin.

Once the week is complete, you can draw a curve connecting the pins.

Avertissement Try to make the measurements approximately at the same time every day. Avoid external influences that would distort the results (sun, proximity of a radiator, etc.). If you have a doubt about a measurement, you can leave it aside and wait for the following day.

  • How to analyse the results?

If the heating is properly set, the temperature should be constant .

A living room should not be heated more than 20-21 ° C, a bedroom not more than 18-19 ° C.

If you find that temperatures are constantly higher than these values, try to slightly adjust the radiator valve or room thermostat and carry on new measurements (write down what you changed). After a few tests, the ideal setting should be found.

  • The thermostatic mixing valve :

Most of radiators are now equipped with thermostatic mixing valves.

Once the correct setting is found, these valves should no longer be manipulated. Thermostatic mixing valves will adjust automatically the right amount of hot water needed to always keep the same temperature in the room.
