Senet Game

In the tomb of Tutankhamun discovered in 1922, the archaeologist Howard Carter unearthed several game boards, some of which are reversible with on one side an evolution of the game of UR, the game of 20 squares, and on the other side the game of Senet which was very popular among the Egyptians of the time.

Unlike UR's game rules, those of Senet's game are still largely unknown to us. In addition, the game has evolved and many variants of the game board have been updated during various excavations. This explains why there are many different rules possible.

The game is fairly easy to build and playing it is like going back thousands of years and feeling 'connected' to the individuals who lived at that time.
