A gloomy smog in a jar
This experiment creates an artificially fog in a jar.
It demonstrates that fog forms like clouds when water vapour condenses in the air in contact with cold. For fog to form, small particles must also be present in the air so that water droplets can 'stick' to them.
To make the experiment even more fun, we propose to create a gloomy landscape with a haunted castle surrounded by fog.
This DIY was developed for the magazine 'Campus Junior' of the University of Geneva.
