Fonctionnement - Chemical battery

  • Fill each glass with earth and plant seeds. Water lightly.

     

    Digg into the earth of one glass the piece of copper attached to the watch.

    In the other glass digg the zinc piece (galvanized metal).

     

    Connect the mini plugs of the 2 short electric wires. Digg the copper wire in the pot containing already zinc and the piece of zinc in the pot already containing copper.

     

    The display lights up. Set up the watch.

     

    Glue cardboard hands to the wires to form arms.



  • Avertissement The pieces of copper and zinc should be planted close to each other but should not be touching.

     

    Avertissement It is important to keep the soil damp to maintain the chemical reaction. If no more electricity is produced, readjust the pieces of zinc and copper in the earth.

     

    Avertissement Instead of earth, it is possible to use lemons or potatoes.
