Fonctionnement - Eolienne à 4 pales (ou à 3)

  • Find a location well exposed to the wind.

Using cable ties, firmly attach the vertical axis of the windmill to a barrier or a post firmly anchored to the ground (alternatively you can slide the tube over a stake firmly embedded in the ground).

Check that the windmill can turn freely at 360°.

The propeller of this windmill needs a steady air flow to turn. It is therefore better to wait for a windy moment to experiment with its operation. On the other hand, in case of a storm, it is advisable to put it in a safe place as it could break.

If the LED does not light up, try to turn the propeller manually to test its operation. If there is still no light: check that the gearbox is not too tight with the two screws that go through itdisassemble the gearbox, remove the motor, put it back and adjust the gears and reassemble itcheck the electrical connections between the LED and the motor/generator

  • A little film showing the windturbine in full operation !
