How to use - A suprising mussel

Weight the mussel with a coin slipped into the slit.Let the mussel fall into a transparent bowl filled with water.

The  paper strip will soon unglue letting the mussel open up like by magic.The papers will unfold to form seaweeds and the floating objects will rise to the surface.If you let the mussel dry,  it is possible to add a new strip of paper and start the experiment again.Here is a short video of the principle of operation:
